Splendour's theatre, called the 42nd Street Theatre, is located forward. Designed by the Snoweiss Design Group it offers unobstructed views everywhere in this lounge, as there are no pillars. There are no balconies either. During performances, a wall of TV's can be raised out of the stage floor; the orchestra pit can be raised as well. On both sides of the stage, large screens show images related to the act, and performers interact with these screens on occaisions. 42nd Street Theatre seats 802. Besides these lounges, Splendour ot Seas offers six shops, a large library (over 2000 books available) and elaborate space for the Optix Teen Center and Club Oceana Children's Room where the youth is entertained.

                                                        Golf course, Splendour of the Greens

Outdoors, apart from a jogging track encircling the Compass Deck, there is a 18 hole miniature golf course called Splendour of the Greens, and a solarium on Sun Deck (partly indoors), designed by Swedish Lars Iwdal Adjacent to the Spa, the Greek themed pool area features rows of columns, statues and even several fountains. The solarium is covered by a 4500 sqft magrodome for use in inclement weather.

 Nearly 25% of Splendour's staterooms have their own private veranda. Every stateroom offers TV, radio, bath etc. All elegantly appointed, the use of brass and wooden molding adding an extra touch.

Splendour ot Seas is a fast ship, which means extended stays in port are possible. She is diesel electric powered, the output of her mighty engines is 54620 hp, giving her a speed of over 24 knots.
