Rotterdam V coming home to Rotterdam

On September 27th we visited the Meyer Werft. It was the day before the most recent cruise ship built by the yard, the Celebrity Solstice would leave, making her way down the river Ems to be outfitted in Eemshaven, the Netherlands. Celebrity Solstice attracted a huge crowd, thousands of spectators visited the yard, lots of them camping nearby in their  motorhomes. Television network Nord Deutsche Rundfunk covered the last days of the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany and of course her trip down the river Ems.

Celebrity Solstice: length 315 m, 2.900 passengers, 1430 cabins, GRT 122.000
